Clay Heads
Clay is always an exciting time of the year. It is hard to not love a material that is really the definition of "hands on." This year 6th graders had the challenge of creating a hollow form and altering it to show an expression. Students began by attaching two pinch pots together. They then sculpted and carved the clay to show an expression. I am so impressed with the variety of sculptures they created, from emojis, to animals to beloved characters.
